Akumal Pueblo, the real Akumal. Located on the hill on the west side of Highway #307, Akumal Pueblo is home to most of the local Mexicans who work in the villas and resorts. There are several places selling wonderful, authentic Mexican tamales, empanadas and assorted Yucatan dishes at unbelievably cheap prices. In addition to the eateries there is a pharmacy, superette, hardware store, tortilla factory, produce store, elementary school, public park and police station.

TUCSON, Ariz. - Authorities say a U.S. Border Patrol agent who fatally shot an illegal immigrant in January east of Douglas won't be charged in the case. The Cochise County Attorney's Office announced Tuesday that the shooting of 28-year-old Jorge Alfredo Solis Palma by Border Patrol agent Miguel Torres-Vasquez was legally justified. Agents were tracking three people in the area on Jan. 4 when they found Solis hiding below a tree. Authorities say Solis refused to arrive out and a struggle began. Solis, of Veracruz, Mexico, reportedly threw rocks at agents as tried to flee. Authorities say Solis was shot and died on the way to a Tucson hospital. Court records show Solis had been previously arrested in 2005 by the Border Patrol and was later charged with a felony drug offense. http://ktar.com/?nid=6sid=1272387

he struggle against the murder and abuse of women in the northern Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez,More than 500 women have been killed in Ciudad Juarez since 1993, according to the National Human Rights Commission, with the majority of the cases going unsolved. Investigators have not determined who is behind the killings, although there has been speculation that serial killers, organized crime, people traffickers, drug smugglers and child pornographers, among others, may be involved.nvestigations conducted by Congress found that some 6,000 women were murdered across Mexico between 1999 and 2005. Imagine if this stuff is happening in Mexico imagine what would happen in American if we keep on letting them in the truth need to be heard we talking about gang war going to happen watch and look.

Has anyone had any problems with mexican insurance GNP? I had a vehicle stolen in Mexico six months ago and I haven't received a payment yet.I was told by them when the incident happened that it only take them six weeks pay me my vehicle. I bought the policy thru my US insurance American Family. I really don't recommed GNP car insurance to anyone that visits Mexico. Their customer service sucks and no one seems to know what they are doing.

Hi, I've been taking Spanish classes for 8 years. I recently decided to take more classes and try to receive a minor in Spanish. I have traveled to South America, as well as Mexico many times. I spent two months in South America last summer and I still have no idea how to grasp the concept of past tenses. Could someone please try to logically explain this to me. I understand the endings like aba, and e, being in the yo form, but why are there two different types of past tenses? Is my sentence making any sense? Please help. Every time I ask my professor I receive more and more confused. Thank you in advance.

I’m dating a man who practically has nothing material to offer me. He is illegal so his options are limited. What he gives me is adore, trust, and emotional security. Although he may not have an education and a great paying job, he is very difficult working and always looks for ways to better himself. He’s demonstrated a great deal of strength. Before him and I were dating he had brain surgery and was unable to work for three years. He’d watch documentary channels and learned English from home on his possess with no one’s help. He learned how to read and write English. Of course he has an accent and his conversations don’t compare to mine but he can receive by. He’s a fighter and wants to battle until the end to be ok in this country in order to be by my side. I know him and I can be glad but at times I have my doubts. People say I need to find me a *good* man, one that has an education and money for financial security. Since when do those two things make a person a better person? Good people arrive in every ways. They say I deserve a good man because I’m going to school and have a good job and a home and a car and….etc. My boyfriend is Mexican. He was born and raised in Mexico. I am Mexican – born in Mexico and raised here in the U.S. I’ve tried avoiding men like him so I can keep myself issues but I only like Mexican men who are raised in Mexico. Their values, culture, character, and beliefs are what I am looking for. Men who are from Mexican parents but raised here, I just don’t like them. Something is always missing. Seems like there’s a tiny price to pay for the things we want. It will be a struggle but I trust we can be ok if we ever marry. I want to know your opinion about this and how likely you believe this can work out. I do adore him, I don't doubt that. I just want to know people's opinions about being with someone who has little to offer you. I forgot to mention he does have a job and a place to live and a car.

Please read every this before you answer my question, I would really appreciate it. Thanks for your time. Ten years ago I met my husband. I already had 2 daughters I had with my first husband. When I first started dating my husband I didn't pay rent, I lived in my mom's home. My husband was still in the navy, he got his car stolen so I had to lend him 500 dollars so that he could buy a used car so that he could go to work. As time passed by, I had to take out the money I was saving from the bank so that we could stay alive, even though it's said that you cannot survive in Mexico. I could support my daughters and me every by myself. Then, just to be with him I had to cease doing what I was doing, fixing my teeth for example. I had to cease going to the dentist because I was helping him, so I was unable to pay for my treatment. I thought he would pay me back or that while we were together he would try to help me with my problem. Six years later we had a child together, he then decided to apply for four visas ( one for me, one for my baby and two for each one of my daughters ). I only accepted to arrive to the U.S. because that's what he wanted. When we finally settled in the U.S. everything started to be his way, I didn't care about that, every I asked from him was for him to respect me and to not watch porn. He always puts us a limit on everything. I supported him so that he could finish college. He graduated from a college in San Diego, CA; then he decided he wanted to go to law school to become a lawyer. A law school from Florida offered him a scholarship, so he decided he wanted to attend to that law school. I supported him with his decision, so we then moved here to Florida. We came here with a tiny amount of money that was part of the scholarship he received. He thought that that was going to be enough money for us to live till he got the other part of the scholarship's money, which he is not going to receive till the second semester begins. I don't have a working allow, so I can't work. We've been living here in Florida for two months, during the first month he decided to go to a nude bar where he spent 1600 dollars in just 4 days. After arguing for a long time for what he had done, I decided to take the money I lend him 10 years ago. He then started to argue with me about that. A few days later we had a big battle because he was watching porn on his lap top, I tried to take the lap top from him but at the same time he was trying to take it away from me, he pushed me down and I fell on the ground, I hit my head with the sofa and hurt my knee really bad. I couldn't walk because my knee hurt so bad. There's no one who can help me. I don't know anybody. Also, I have to go back to San Diego in April to attend to an appointment with immigration but I don't have any money to go. I don't know what to do, what do you guys think I should do?

I usually receive 3o, and am fine with that, but next time I want 4o atleast. The next beep test is in June. I want to not only do good on the next beep test, but be more fit when I arrive back from march break. March break starts on thursday, because we have half day thursday and no school friday. Not monday, but the monday after that we go back to school. How can I receive more fit, have more endurance, and just in general be better at sports and stuff in 2 weeks? Also how can I do better physically in the next few months? I don't care about losing weight, although it would be nice to look good in my bikini because im going to mexico in april. PS: I am obviously female, and I'm 13 :) I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT, I WANT TO receive FIT. I am not going on a diet. I weigh 108 pounds, and I'm 5'5.

What would happen to our kids if the border patrol had not caught this repeat offender sneaking in would our kids have been put in danger with this guy walking around free in a sanctuary city where he could just blend in and have others telling us every he wants is a better life ? What do you think and how many others like him made it without being caught ? An illegal immigrant charged with sexually molesting a child in the Bay Area was arrested close Calexico after trying to sneak back in the United States from Mexico, authorities said Tuesday. The man was arrested Sunday nine miles west of Calexico with four other immigrants who had entered the U.S. illegally, the Department of Homeland Security said. His name and age were not released. A records check by federal officers showed that the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant in Marin County on a charge of a lewd and lascivious act with a child below 14, the department said. The man was being held by the Imperial County Sheriff's Department pending extradition to Marin County, according to the department. The four others were processed and returned to Mexico. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2010/03/illegal-immigrant-wanted-on-sexaul-molestation-charge-arrested-close-calexico.html

My mom gave me an heirloom pearl ring which is very beautiful and a really unique setting. I adore it, but I have extremely tiny fingers and it doesn't fit me, not even if I wear it on my index or middle finger. I've asked my mom and she doesn't have a problem with me getting it re-sized. Does anyone know a reputable place I could go (I live in New Mexico, Southern Colorado, and Montana, depending on what time of year it is) Or how much it will cost? Thank you so much in advance

Ok, so I am Mexican, some time ago a pal took me to a Greek restaurant (owned by Greeks), and he told me to have a Gyro. I was like, What the hell is that?, but after seeing it and tasting it it became my second favorite food (after tacos al pastor). In the restaurant, they had paintings and pictures of people eating outside, on the open. And ever since then, I have been thinking about this: In Mexico, people would go out to their favorite taco store in their town and have dinner there, some places would have tables outside on the open, or others would be inside a room, with the meat being prepared close the entrance. And I was wondering if it were similar for Greek to go out and have a gyro for dinner? Thanks Favorite food: Drink Tacos Agua de Horchata Classic Gyro Big glass of Coca-cola or pepsi

Hi, so here's our situation: My family and i were planning to go to Mexico for Spring Break. Since they recently made the law that you have to have a passport the only way we would receive ones we need in time is to pay the rush fee that is around $300 total for everyone that needs it. We don't have money to spend on that so my dad gave us a few other options. We could go to Disney Land in California for a few days, Go look my Grandparents in Page, AZ where there is a lake or go to the beach in Cali. We live in Phoenix. He also told us to arrive up with more ideas and we'd vote as a family. Any ideas? The only limitations we have are staying around Arizona, having something fun for every one (age ranges from 9-16) and not costing a lot. And we are going to San Diego for my brothers football tournament in July so i'm not sure it would be fun to go there now and then go again. Any Ideas??

I was told that medicine was dirt cheap, and actually very safe, if you bought it from Mexico. I was told that this was because Mexico had very few regulations on medicine, so the price is low. So I just want to clarify a few things, since I got every of this information from one person. 1. Is medicine from Mexico cheap? 2. Is it safe? 3. If it is cheap, shouldn't we lay off with regulations to lower the price of medicine? And no, this has nothing to do with universal health care.
